OSHA 10 Hour Safety and Health for Construction

This is a voluntary compliance course taught by authorized instructors from the Midwest OSHA Education Center. It covers all basic safety and health essentials with emphasis on the most frequently cited OSHA standards. Material may be customized for specific audiences.

OSHA 10 Hour Safety and Health for General Industry

This is a voluntary compliance course taught by authorized instructors from the Midwest OSHA Education Center. Participants are introduced to a broad array of safety and health topics appropriate for general workers, including an introduction to OSHA, hazard communication, personal protective equipment, and means of egress. Course topics may be customized for special groups.

OSHA 30 Hour Safety and Health for General Industry

This course offers an expanded view of OSHA standards for general industry. It is recommended for managers, supervisors or others who need a more detailed understanding of OSHA standards. Emphasis is placed on topics related to the most frequently cited OSHA violations. Participants will research OSHA standards and other information on the Internet. Course topics may be customized for special groups. Taught by an OSHA approved instructor.

This course will help employers to develop a strategy for compliance with 29 CFR 1910.147, the control of hazardous energy. Offered as a contract course.

Bloodborne Pathogens

This contract course helps employers prepare employees in preventing infection from bloodborne pathogens, as required in 29 CFR 1910.1030. This course is designed taylored to help participants develop compliance strategies for this standard.

Program Specific Confined Space Entry

This contracted course trains employees on work specific plans. Employers who have confined spaces in the workplace must comply with the requirements of 29 CFR 1910.146. This course will introduce the requirements for compliance with this standard, including assessing hazards, developing a confined space entry plan, implementing a permit system and training.

Powered Industrial Truck Operator Train-the-Trainer

OSHA\'s Powered Industrial Truck Standard requires that all operators of such equipment be trained by a qualified instructor. This course will prepare trainers and help them to develop compliant training programs. This course is must for business and industry that use such equipment.

Occupational Respiratory Protection

This contract course provides site specific training on the employers respiratory protection program. The course will reflect the recent changes to the respiratory standards (29 CFR 1910.134 and 42 CFR 84). The course involves participants in hands-on activities such as respirator selection, fit-testing, maintenance, and general use of air purifying respirators, supplied air respirators and self-contained breathing apparatus. Topics Include: Overview of Regulations Identifying Respirator Hazards Selecting Appropriate Respirators Cleaning, Maintaining and Inspecting Respirators Fit-Testing Medical Surveillance Developing Respirator Protection Programs Specific Applications: Lead, Asbestos, Confined Spaces, Emergency Response
